Our Leadership

Melissa Dillinger leads communications at Collins Aerospace, providing executive direction and strategic leadership for communications programs to best position Collins with employees, customers and external partners. Previously, Melissa led the functional and business communications teams, with a focus on inspiring innovative and creative communication campaigns that achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Prior to joining Collins, Melissa held several communications leadership roles at Caterpillar, Inc., where she was responsible for communications teams and strategies supporting the company’s global supply chain, Lean manufacturing transformation and dealer network.

Melissa's 20+ years of communications experience also includes reporting, producing and anchoring for an NBC affiliate, receiving an excellence award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association. She also spent part of her career supporting communications and marketing initiatives with various elected officials in the state and federal arenas.

Melissa is an avid adventure traveler, fearless downhill skier and lover of all things family. Her biggest joy is chasing around her two little boys – who both have big dreams of becoming astronauts. She holds two bachelors of arts degrees in Communications and Spanish from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and attended the University of Seville in Seville, Spain.
