A best-in-class future helicopter solution requires innovative capabilities that push the limits of what’s possible, while keeping an eye on affordability, sustainment and training. At the same time, there are clear challenges in ensuring all the pieces work seamlessly together without compromising on the goals of the FVL program – from increasing safety, performance, lethality and agility to ensuring longevity of all solutions and continuous advancement.

Plus, many of the advancements being developed for FVL need to be considered as part of the entire ecosystem, inclusive of Air Launched Effects (ALE), a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and modernizing the current fleet with backwards compatible solutions.
