For over 85 years, Collins Aerospace has been a leader in the design, development and integration of airborne and ground solutions. We’ve pioneered open systems architecture for more than 30 years, leading the way for open upgrades that enable rapid integration of third-party technologies.
Additionally, Collins continues to lead the establishment and implementation of open standards (OMS, HOST, FACE™, SOSA™, NIIA, STANAG) through consortiums to enable software and hardware interoperability, as well as open system architectures.
Collins Mission Flight Management Software (MFMS-1000) and Localizer Performance and Vertical Guidance Calculator (LPVC-1000) are two of many software applications that have received Conformance Certificates from the open group Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™), marking one of the highest completion rates in the industry. In 2017, our Avoidance Re-router (ARR-7000) software product was the first to be certified.

Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Open Systems Solutions
As one of the U.S. Army’s six modernization priorities to dominate in the multi-domain battlespace, our modular open systems approach (MOSA) for FVL enables greater mission flexibility, as well as easier and faster advancements over time as new capabilities are integrated into the program.
Mosarc™ Integrated Avionics Solution
Our Mosarc™ is a revolutionary advanced avionics solution that meets government open systems standards while ensuring the separation of air vehicle and mission system equipment, enabling rapid third-party integration into the field for current and future warfighters. This increases performance, safety and cybersecurity.
Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing System (MAPS) Gen II
Collins MAPS Gen II is an open, next-generation Mounted Assured PNT solution that maintains the integrity of positioning and timing in GPS-contested environments and keeps up with the pace of current and future enemy threats and technologies.
Mission System for Airborne Launched Effects (ALE)
Small, lightweight and with open architecture, our mission system enables ALEs to rapidly and securely connect to the modern battlespace. Through advanced fusing of time critical targeting data derived from air vehicles, payloads and networked sensors, our mission system for ALE maximizes manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) and advanced autonomy. It delivers a cohesive and accurate message that dramatically increases the survivability and mission effectiveness of high value air assets and their crews in any anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) environment.
Flexlink™ Adaptive Connectivity Solution
Through adherence to the modular opens systems approach (MOSA), FlexLink™ adaptive connectivity solution for communication, navigation and surveillance (CNS) delivers the resilient networks and Assured PNT needed to connect the battlespace and rapidly adapt to outpace the threat.

Perigon™ gives you maximum flexibility and scalability, combining multiple processor configurations, including options for simplex, duplex and triplex redundancy, and high-power computing with an open-system architecture allowing you to host complex software applications to meet your integration needs now and into the future.
