Retrofit Sales and Technical Support
Drawing from the experience of developing our signature Advanced Lavatory, Collins Aerospace's water components bring superior functionality to aircraft lavatory systems. Inventive, industry-leading features reduce operating costs and increase maintenance reliability. In addition, their smart and compact designs save weight and space on aircraft lavatories.
Mechanical Faucet: Reliable, Modular, Durable
Our mechanical faucet is built around a durable cartridge that delivers superior in-service reliability and ease of maintenance for fast turnaround times. Combined with a sturdy faucet body that is abuse-resistant, our faucet platform can support various aircraft types and applications.
Features & benefits
- Compact, sleek design allows for easy maintenance and cartridge replacement without removing the faucet from the lavatory
- Clog-resistant valve operates at up to 400 microns of particulate or silt exposure
- Smooth design on body and aerator allows for easy cleaning, reducing buildup of calcium and other debris
Auto-Drain Valve: Self-Clearing Technology
Our patent pending, self-clearing Vortex Auto-Drain Valve allows gray water to flow from a lavatory or galley sink into the drain mast, while inhibiting airflow during sink operation. This design eliminates the familiar “hissing” noise created by air escaping the drain. Unlike competing products, this valve is designed to remain open, allowing the drain to function in high altitude or on the ground.
Features & benefits
- Proprietary, self-clearing design prevents clogging from debris like coffee grounds. This presents an advantage over competing products where clogging leads to eventual valve failure
- Constructed from lightweight, durable and chemical-resistant polymers; Ultem™ free
- Integrated backflow prevention valve that doesn’t stick in the closed or open position
- Designed to remain open when aircraft is unpressurized, allowing drainage while on ground
Selector Valve: Multi-Functional, Adaptable and Customizable
Our selector valve controls the flow of water from a pressurized potable system to multiple downstream line-replaceable units (LRUs) or other subsystems. The selector valve can feed multiple downstream LRUs simultaneously, with the ability to turn off one or both flows. We designed the assembly with industry standards in mind, using advanced technology and a proven “plug” style valve design.
Features & benefits
- Lightweight, 100 percent stainless steel construction provides significant weight reduction over legacy systems with brass components
- Unique design allows valve use in any orientation and provides redundancy in case of internal failure
- Adaptable handle allows for various applications without the need to change out the internal valve
- Customizable faceplate
Shutoff Valve: Adaptable & Customizable
Our shutoff (drain) valve controls the flow of water from a pressurized potable system to the downstream line-replaceable unit (LRU) or another subsystem. We designed the assembly with industry standards in mind, using advanced technology and a proven “plug” style valve design.
Features & benefits
- Unique design allows valve use in any orientation and provides redundancy in case of internal failure
- Face and base mounting capability, easing integration and installation on various designs, products and platforms
- Adaptable handle allowing for various application usage without the need to change the internal valve. The handle includes remove activation provisions (i.e pull cable/rod)
- The adaptable handle allows for decorative handles on visible installations
