The first China-based Collins Aerospace service center opened in Shanghai in 1997. In March 2003, this service center was converted into a joint venture between Collins Aerospace and China Eastern Airlines.
Located in the Pudong Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Collins Aviation Maintenance Services Shanghai Ltd. (CAMSSL) covers 1,500 square meters. The facility uses advanced Collins Aerospace testing equipment for communications, navigation, sensors, displays, flight control computers, weather radar and in-flight entertainment systems, as well as non-Collins Aerospace automated test equipment.

Examples of our service and support customers include:
- CAMSSL invested in PAVES On-Demand repair capability in 2017 to support Sichuan Airlines and China Eastern Airlines fleet.
- China Eastern Airlines and Shandong Airlines signed a Contract Maintenance Agreement with CAMSSL in 2014 and 2017 for repairing some equipment to ensure the operation of avionics equipment.
In addition, our global network of more than 80 locations provides repair and overhaul of avionics equipment for commercial, business, corporate and military operations.
