Ajay Mahajan, president of Advanced Structures, leads a diverse and exciting portfolio that touches most aspects of flight and includes nacelles, landing gear, wheels & brakes, actuation systems and propeller systems. Our products ensure the structural integrity of aircraft, help them take off and land, stay trim in the air and move forward.

In his previous position, Ajay was vice president and general manager of Landing Systems, part of the Advanced Structures portfolio. In this role, he was responsible for profit and loss, strategic planning, oversight and overall performance of the Landing Systems business.

Ajay has held positions of increasing responsibility within Collins Aerospace, including vice president of Aftermarket – Landing Systems. He also served as vice president of Customer Service at the former UTC Aerospace Systems and vice president of Corporate Strategy and Development at the former United Technologies (UTC) corporate headquarters.

Ajay has over 25 years of experience, including general management, corporate strategy and development. Prior to joining UTC in 2008, Ajay worked at McKinsey & Company as an engagement manager.

Ajay holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Punjab University in India; a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Houston; and a master’s of business administration degree in general management and finance from the University of Michigan.
