Raquel Rivera

SVP, Operations & Supply Chain

Raquel Rivera is senior vice president, Operations & Supply Chain at Pratt & Whitney. She leads all activities for manufacturing and assembly, on-time delivery and cost commitments of new engines and spare parts. She also has overall responsibility for executing supply chain strategy and processes across the global enterprise.

In the role, Raquel is responsible for leading all business activities related to Pratt & Whitney manufacturing and operations, including U.S. manufacturing and assembly, Israel Operations, Operational Excellence, Operations Strategy and Integrated Business Planning; with functional leadership of manufacturing activities in Canada, Poland and China. She is focused on alignment with RTX’s CORE operating system and delivering on Pratt & Whitney’s safety, quality, delivery and cost commitments.

Raquel partners with Pratt & Whitney’s Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing businesses to manage accountabilities with suppliers and ensure full value stream alignment for optimal part flow, better managed inventories, lower cost and higher supplier quality across the value chain.

Raquel has more than 25 years of experience with Pratt & Whitney and United Technologies, including leadership positions in Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial Aftermarket and Supply Chain. In her most recent role, Raquel was chief supply chain officer with overall responsibility for leading and executing all supply chain strategy and processes across the global enterprise. Prior to that, Raquel was vice president, Manufacturing & Assembly, where she was responsible for the production and assembly of large commercial and military engines, spare parts production, engine product quality and integrity, manufacturing engineering and industrial management.

Raquel holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University. She holds certificates from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration and Thayer leadership training at West Point.

Raquel is passionate about mentoring the next generation of Pratt & Whitney leaders. She is a 2021 recipient of the Great Minds in STEM Executive Excellence Award for her capabilities and achievements at Pratt & Whitney and within the Hispanic community. Raquel was elected to the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers and recognized by the Hartford Business Journal as a top ‘40 under 40’ for excelling professionally and demonstrating strong community involvement. She previously served on the board of directors for the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Hartford. At Pratt & Whitney, Raquel is an executive sponsor of the company’s Hispanic Heritage Leadership Forum and an active leader in building an inclusive culture that promotes empowerment, diversity and innovation.
